During one of the most challenging periods of the COVID‑19 pandemic, the Pilipino Association of Respiratory Therapists International (paRTi) launched a critical fundraising initiative to supply Filipino families with urgently needed pulse oximeters—a vital tool for monitoring oxygen levels at home when hospitals were overwhelmed.
Through a meaningful partnership with Angat Buhay and the Office of Vice President Leni Robredo, paRTi helped distribute dozens of pulse oximeters to volunteer tele‑doctors and frontline healthcare professionals. These devices enabled clinicians to remotely monitor patients’ vital signs, reducing unnecessary hospital visits and easing the strain on an already burdened healthcare system.
